Several times a year we have guest speakers to help educate our membership about the importance of preservation and the character of what makes St Pete special.
Started in 2010, Movies in the Park has become a much loved local event, taking place each Thursday evening during the months of May & October. Each movie evening begins with live local music and the opportunity to purchase food & drink from some of St. Pete’s favorite vendors followed by the classic movie on the big outdoor screen. It all takes place on St. Petersburg’s beautiful downtown waterfront in North Straub Park.
These fun and informal events take place at a local historic home or building, offering you what may be a one-time chance to gain entry inside. It’s also a chance for you to engage in some fun conversation, catch up on the latest preservation news, and try out some tasty food treats.
Every other year, we present awards to homeowners, organizations, and businesses in our community who have made important contributions to historic preservation and to keeping St. Petersburg special.
